For the Retail Futures module, I was required to produce an illustrated report involving an in-depth exploration of the evolving retail landscape, focusing on past trends, current challenges, and future opportunities. This module allowed me to critically analyse the impact of global events, technological advancements, and social changes on the retail sector. Within the report, I demonstrated an understanding of how COVID-19 has reshaped retail practices and customer expectations, with a particular emphasis on inclusivity concerning disability, neurodivergence, and overall well-being. The second part of this assignment required me to curate a 15-page ideation, visualising the retail space of the future, and demonstrating my findings on how retail can be developed.
As part of the module's practical application, I focused my report on mid-market DTC retailers in Chelsea, London, an area known for its affluent consumer base and vibrant retail scene. My ideation section involved a conceptual collaboration between Massimo Dutti and Soho House, envisioning a multifaceted retail experience. I received a 1:1 (70) for this module.
