The Product Management module allowed me to investigate the processes and strategies involved in bringing a fashion collection from concept to market. I was required to step into the role of a fashion buyer, emphasising the importance of sustainability and ethical practices in the fashion industry. As part of this module, I developed a proposal for a new AW24/25 occasion-wear collection for the French fashion brand, Sézane, that is both innovative and aligned with contemporary sustainable/ethical standards. The primary fabric for my collection was peace silk, a textile known for its environmentally friendly and cruelty-free production process.
To ensure the feasibility of my concept, I crafted a comprehensive market strategy, conducted a competitor analysis and explored consumer preferences and expectations regarding sustainable fashion. For this module, I prioritised eco-centric and ethical practices at all stages of the buying process, such as investigating sustainable supply strategies, developing a recycled packaging concept and utilising an inclusive sizing architecture. I also produced a 20-garment collection using Adobe Illustrator, consisting of staple wardrobe items with a capsule and seasonal colour palette developed from trend analysis. I received a 1:1 (75) for this module.
